Sandra Benedict, Development Director

After graduating from Rutgers University with a double major in Communication and English, Sandra began a thriving career developing technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies in the New York metro area. Because she has always been driven by a commitment to equity for all populations, even as her sales career flourished, Sandra maintained a volunteer position advancing the education of marginalized youth in her community.

In 2012, the opportunity arose to translate the persuasion, motivation and organizational skills she had mastered in the corporate world into the nonprofit arena. Since that time, Sandra been inspiring individual donors, businesses and civic organizations alike to support such valuable causes as food insecurity, the wrongly imprisoned and equity in education.

In keeping with her commitment to level the playing field for marginalized populations, Sandra is so pleased to be a part of the CAU team, channeling her efforts into advancing the movement to create an inclusive and accessible world, in which people of all abilities are empowered to lead a fulfilling life.
